GSTools v1.3: a toolbox for geostatistical modelling in Python

Abstract. Geostatistics as a subfield of statistics accounts for the spatial correlations encountered in many applications of, example, earth sciences. Valuable information can be extracted from these correlations, also helping to address often burden data scarcity. Despite value additional data, use geostatistics still falls short its potential. This problem is connected lack user-friendly software hampering and application geostatistics. We therefore present GSTools, Python-based suite solving wide range geostatistical problems. chose Python due unique balance between usability, flexibility, efficiency adoption scientific community. GSTools provides methods generating random fields; it perform kriging, variogram estimation much more. demonstrate abilities by virtue series example detailing their use.
